School Site Council

An opportunity to be involved in the school community is through the School Site Council (SSC). School Site Council includes various educational partners, such as parents, educators, and staff members. The team meets five Wednesdays, for one hour,  throughout the school year to collectively work together, observe various forms of school data, and provide feedback on the school's safety plan and student achievement plan. During SSC meetings, each member shares their unique perspective and knowledge of the school's needs as they affect all students. The principal and teachers contribute background knowledge in instructional practices; parents provide insights on how effectively the school works and how well their children understand their assignments. Staff members provide insight into how the school functions with their support. Additionally, the team addresses community questions. If you are interested in this opportunity or would like to nominate someone, please complete the SSC application and return it to the office. Elections occur in August.  When elected, School Site Council members serve a 2-year term.
